What details do you need to give me a quote?

We simply require the linear footage (the length of fence you need), the duration of time you think you will need it for and the location where it is going (i.e. address). We’ll also ask if you need a drop-off or if you would like to take advantage of our complete installation and dismantling service.

Do you make site visits?

As long as we know the linear footage, rental duration, delivery location and whether you need a drop-off or install, we can provide you with an accurate quote right away. Our crews have a combination of over 100 years of experience setting up fencing in all situations. If you still feel you would like a crew to do a site visit, please call our office to make an appointment.

I’ve given you the square footage of my space. Why do you need the dimensions?

The first thing we’ll ask is if your space is a perfect square, or if you know at least the width or length of the property… Why, you ask? Isn’t the perimeter of an area always the same no matter what the area? That would surely make things simpler but the fact is, spaces with the same area, will have differing perimeters depending on the shape of the space. Following are some examples. As you can see, depending on the shape of the rectangle, the perimeter and quantity of fencing can vary widely.

Can I transfer my rental to a new company?

Yes! If you are changing contractors or moving to a new phase of construction, keep your site secured by transferring the rental to the new site owner. Once the original account is settled in full, we can transfer of rental responsibility from one company to another. The Transfer Request form must be completed by both the existing customer and the customer to which the rental is being transferred. The transfer will take effect once the form is completed and the existing account has been settled in full.

When will my fence be delivered?

Deliveries generally take place Monday to Friday between 8 am and 2 pm. If you require service outside these dates and times, please call the office to make a delivery appointment. Of course, emergencies happen, and we are always available outside normal business hours by calling our Emergency Line at 416-569-2422 (emergencies only please!)

Do you have a minimum rental quantity or duration?

No, our customers can rent one panel for a day or 100 panels for 10 years. We are here to provide you with the service that works for you.

What is your service area?

Our key service area is the GTA and Southern Ontario, though we regularly service customers outside of the GTA. Please call our office at 416-751-7877 to get a quote for your location. We can also ship our purchased panels, screening and traffic safety supplies across Canada.

Do you have fences higher than 6′?

Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requires “if work on a project may endanger a person using a public way, a sturdy fence at least 1.8 meters in height shall be constructed between the public way and the project.” (O. Reg. 213/91, s. 65) Since the OHSA requires 6’ high fencing, most of our inventory is this standard height. We do have an inventory of 8’ high fencing available. Please call the office to inquire about availability.

Can I pick up fencing from your yard?

Please note ACCESS TO OUR YARD IS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.  Due to material deliveries and other factors, there may be occasions when access is not possible. Please ensure you and/or your crew bring an appropriate vehicle. We are unable to load any vehicle or trailer which is unsuitable for safely transporting your fence. What happens if panels are damaged or hardware is missing at the end of my project?

When we deliver and/or install materials at your site, a work order will be completed by our crew and signed-off by your site contact, as confirmation of material counts. At the time of pick-up, any damaged or missing materials will be noted and billed for repairs or replacement accordingly. The charge for a destroyed panel is $225/each plus HST. More often than not, we are able to repair damaged panels and we can provide you with the cost at the time of the return based on the scale of damage. Read our full terms and conditions (.pdf 75 KB)

Why do I have to be on site for the delivery? Can’t I just tell you where to drop the fencing off and/or install it?

We require a customer signature confirming the quantity of materials delivered to your site so there are no discrepancies at the end of your project. It also ensures your fence is set-up exactly where and how you want it.

Do you install screening?

At this time, we do not install screening but we do provide cable ties so you can install it quickly when it is convenient for you.

Are fence rentals covered by insurance?

Depending on your insurance provider, theft or damage to fence rentals may or may not be covered by your insurance. The charge for a destroyed panel is $225/each plus HST. More often than not, we are able to repair damaged panels and we can provide you with the cost at the time of the return based on the scale of damage. Read our full terms and conditions (.pdf 75 KB)

Do you rent toilets?

No, our key focus is temporary fence rentals and sales, as well as the sales of traffic safety products.

Is it better to rent or buy fence?

That depends. For short-term projects, it is often more cost-effective to rent fencing, however if you have a long-term project or plan to re-use fencing again and again, purchasing may be more suitable to your needs. Whether you rent or buy is likely to depend on a number of factors: the availability of cash, the length of your project, the frequency with which you use temporary fencing and your company’s ability to manage inventory.
